Thomas Monte, Vice President, Industrial
Thomas Monte is a Vice President specializing in the industrial sector. Prior to joining Sitar Realty Company in 1999, Mr. Monte spent several years at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) involved in brokerage activities.
In his role as Vice President, Tom couples his extensive financial and Wall Street expertise with a deep understanding of corporate real estate portfolios. Having begun his career at Sitar Realty Company in the office sector, Mr. Monte has extensive knowledge of both the office and industrial marketplaces of New Jersey. Currently, his practice transcends a wide range of corporate real estate services including a focus on the acquisition, leasing and disposition of warehouse and distribution facilities. In Tom’s years of experience he was responsible for approximately 1,500,000 square feet of warehouse and office transactions.
Some of Mr. Monte’s most recent transactions include:
1. The $22.25 million sale of 45 Brunswick Avenue, Edison, a 333,000 square foot industrial / office facility on 14.5 acres to current owner / user MS International, Inc., from international industrial investment group Cohen Asset Management. This transaction stood out as the largest transaction of the year for all of Sitar Company and garnered recognition as a top 5 industrial transaction for first quarter 2014 for all of our TCN Worldwide international affiliate offices. Tom represented the buyer directly with Cohen Asset Management.
2. The $31 million, single tenant, NNN, investment sale / leaseback of 377 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, a premier new construction class A 265,000 square foot industrial / office facility on 12 acres from partnership Greek Development / ASA Apple to international industrial investment group CenterPoint Properties. This transaction was also the largest transaction of the year for Sitar Company in 2012. This transaction was recognized as a top 3 industrial transaction for the first quarter 2012 for all of our TCN Worldwide international affiliates.
3. The $7 million sale of 20 Kilmer Road, Edison, a 145,000 square foot warehouse / office facility to Hanssem Corporation International as owner / user. CherryStix was the seller. Tom represented the buyer.
Tom is a licensed New Jersey real estate salesperson, and has held Series 7 and Series 63 Securities licenses. Mr. Monte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.
