Sitar Realty Company

William J. Sitar became the principal of William Sitar Interests and Sitar Realty Company in 1962, after receiving an Honorable Discharge and a Good Conduct Award from the United States Marine Corps in 1961. In 1963, he began developing shopping centers and office buildings.

In 1978, he formed the firm which could provide corporations with superior quality real estate services, which is something he felt was not present in the industry. It was at that time that Sitar Realty Company was structured as it presently operates. He began as a one-man operation and he successfully competed against many old-line real estate companies who dominated the market. His company has become a dominant force in the industry. Sitar Realty Company has grown to include 80+ professionals who are experts in every area of commercial and residential real estate. As owner of the Sitar Realty Company, Mr. Sitar has established a New Jersey-based company that has achieved national recognition.

Sitar Realty Company was awarded the 1992 IDRC Award for Outstanding Area Research, the only brokerage firm ever to do so.

In 2011, Sitar Realty Company was selected to become a member of TCN Worldwide. TCN Worldwide is comprised of more than 5,000 commercial real estate professionals serving more than 200 markets worldwide. With $58.6 billion in annual transactions and over 445 million square feet of space under management, TCN Worldwide ranks as one of the largest service providers in the industry.  As a member of the TCN worldwide system, we are able to provide corporate real estate services to our clients in national and international markets utilizing the best local expertise.

For over 10 years, Sitar Company was committed to a cooperative program in its affiliation with Rutgers University to co-author the Sitar Rutgers Regional Report. This quarterly report was sent by Rutgers to the State’s leading business professionals and analyzed the employment, demographics, and office market trends in Northern and Central New Jersey. The Report was highly regarded in the State’s business circles.
